Music experience for young and old

The Kessels Museum is the musical museum of Tilburg. Experience the legacy of Mathieu Kessels in our interactive exhibition, come and try out instruments in the Music Lab and see how instruments are restored in the restoration workshop. A surprisingly informative and educational museum for young and old!

Dive into history
At the Kessels Museum, you will learn all about Mathieu Kessels ' heritage and the impact of his musical instrument factory on our city. You will see the collection that remains of it. This is exhibited in an interactive way and stimulates visitors' senses.

Make music together
In the MusicLab, visitors can explore and try out instruments themselves. You can touch almost anything! There are wind and string instruments that challenge you to play along and make music together.

Heritage comes to life
In the restoration workshop, machines, tools and musical instruments from both the museum's own collection and from private ownership are restored.

Experience how our musical heritage has the future!
