Discover the Music Lab!
Do you love music? Or just curious about sounds and instruments? Then come to the Music Lab at the Kessels Museum!
On the top floor awaits a musical discovery area where you can get to work yourself. Play special acoustic instruments, from cool drums to weird strings or build your own instrument during one of the cool workshops! This is all about doing, trying and having fun. In the music lab, young and old alike can experiment, let their creativity flow and learn new things. Making music together brings fun, new friends and a lot of energy.
So: are you ready to discover your own sound? Come along and make yourself heard!
Workshop 'Building your own instrument'
In our workshops, you become the creator of your own instrument. How cool is that?
At the MusicLab, children can attend a workshop where you make your own musical instrument together with a supervisor. Completely free of charge (with a valid entrance ticket)! In principle, this workshop is held every Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 2 to 3 pm. Maximum number of participants per workshop is 8. You can register by sending an e-mail to kids@kesselsmuseum.nl. During school holidays, days and times may vary, please check our current agenda.
Scavenger hunt
Children can explore the museum with a scavenger hunt during regular opening hours. This is suitable for children from 4 years old.
Children's parties
Want to celebrate a birthday at the MusicLab? We offer the possibility of a children's party on request. This party at the museum lasts 1.5 hours and can be booked on Wednesday afternoons and Friday afternoons. Start time is 2pm and suitable for up to 8 children.
Together, we do the musical scavenger hunt through the museum and then make our own instrument! Of course, we make lots of music with the children and they can experiment with all the instruments in the MusicLab.
For all information and to book children's parties, check out our 'Children's parties' page.
