The mission and vision are translated into objectives:
- To promote awareness of the existence, history and tangible and intangible heritage of the Kessels Museum.
- To promote knowledge of music and musical instruments in general, the technical workings of instruments and the physical principles underlying sound and pitch.
- To promote the belief that music can play a positive role in everyone’s life, young and old alike. This can be achieved by listening to music or by learning about the process of making and playing instruments.
- To use music as a unifying force and to be a place where people can come together, learn from one another and enjoy music and related activities together, transcending social and cultural differences.
- To further highlight the fact that Tilburg is not only a textile city but also a city of music.
