The mission and vision are translated into objectives:
- Promote knowledge of the existence, history and tangible and intangible heritage Kessels Museum.
- Promote knowledge of music and musical instruments in general, the technical operation of instruments and the physical principles behind sound and pitch.
- Spreading the conviction of the positive role music can play in everyone's life, young and old. This can be done by listening to music or learning about the making and working process of instruments.
- Using music as a connector and being a place where people can come together, learn from each other and enjoy music and related activities together; across social and cultural differences.
- Making it further visible that Tilburg is a city of music in addition to textile city.
