This year marks 125 years since this case gripped Tilburg and Mathieu Kessels lost his daughter.

It is perhaps Brabant's oldest cold case, as no perpetrator was ever convicted for the murder of Marietje Kessels.

125 years later, new records are nevertheless turning up and podcast maker Marilou Nillesen and archivist Christian van der Ven are continuing the research. What does the family remember? What do forensic experts and lawyers conclude? And they search the crime scene. All to answer the question: who murdered Marietje Kessels?
